Movement Sessions Will Be

  • Exploratory

Movement is uniquely personal. During our sessions, guided movement will be provided with a focus on fostering a connection with your body’s innate wisdom to determine your needs.

  • Healing

Past wounds can leave us feeling disconnected. Movement can be a conduit to healing and finding a deeper, meaningful connection to ourselves and others.

  • Integrative

With a background in several healing modalities, our sessions will integrate a combination of movement while looking inwards to gain more awareness of what you need to bring healing.

The most authentic thing about us is our capacity to create, to overcome, to endure, to transofrm, to love and to be greater than our suffering.

A regular yoga practice can help with:

    • Nervous System Regulation – Yoga helps calm our system, which can counterbalance the effects of chronic stress.

    • Increased Body Awareness – Gentle movement and breathwork can help you reconnect with your body in a safe and intentional way, fostering a sense of presence and control.

    • Emotional Processing – Certain postures and breathwork techniques can facilitate emotional release, allowing you to process difficult experiences that are stored in the body.

    • Improved Resilience & Coping Skills – Regular yoga practice enhances your ability to manage stress, regulate emotions, and cultivate mindfulness, all of which support long-term healing.

    • Strengthened Mind-Body Connection – By tuning into your body’s signals, you can become more attuned to your needs and create a deeper sense of self-trust and empowerment.

  • Yes! Yoga can be a valuable complement to therapy, especially when integrated with somatic approaches or trauma-informed techniques. Clients are welcome to see me for both therapy and movement sessions. If you're interested in incorporating movement into your healing journey, I can help you create a unique plan towards healing.

  • During our first meeting together, we’ll create a plan based on your goals for movement sessions. Some may come to begin a yoga practice to feel more confident about attending group classes, while others may come for healing stress and trauma to foster a mind-body connection. Once we create a collaborative plan, sessions will general look like:

    • Introduction Check In - We’ll start each session by doing a quick check of how you’re feeling physically, emotionally, and mentally.

    • Focus on Needs - This will inform our movement practice for the session. We may choose a practice that helps uplift your mood or is calming for your nervous system.

    • Incorporate a Well-Rounded Practice - Yoga doesn’t just include movement. We may incorporate mindfulness, breathwork, somatic awareness, or sound healing into the session depending on your needs.

    • Closing - We’ll close the session together with a final check in and notice any shifts that occurred during the session. I’m happy to provide guidance on a home practice for those that want to continue their practice in between sessions.

  • Healing begins when you create space to reconnect with your body and breath.

Private movement sessions can be a gentle, supportive way to heal from trauma, manage stress, and reconnect with yourself. You might consider beginning private sessions if you are:

    • Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected from your body

    • Seeking a calmer, more grounded way to manage stress and emotions

    • Healing from trauma and wanting a safe, personalized approach to movement and breathwork

    • Wanting to build resilience, self-compassion, and emotional regulation through mind-body practices

    • Preferring a slower, more intentional space rather than a fast-paced group yoga class

    • Looking for support that honors your pace, boundaries, and unique journey

If you're considering private movement sessions, healing from trauma or ongoing stress when you feel relatively stable can help deepen the benefits. A sense of emotional and physical safety makes it easier to explore movement, breath, and mindfulness practices that support lasting healing.

You don’t need to wait until you feel fully ready or healed to start. Private sessions can meet you exactly where you are — offering support, grounding, and empowerment along the way. If you’re curious about whether movement might be right for you, I offer free consultations to help you explore your goals.
